The con-rods have been started --- I have to wait for a friend to get back from holiday as he needs to do the heat treatment and plasma nitriding aswell as the shot peneing for me before I can do the final machining.

Hang in there --- I will be testing these in a 350+WHP tiburon I have sponsored with these rods, and willpost dyno graphs and pictures soon.

Hello, i am going to be doing a turbo project on my 1997 1.8L Tibby. I saw that you sell low comp pistons for a pretty cheap price compared to Ross or Wiseco. However the 8.5:1 comp worries me. Here is my parts list:
-Stock 2g Eclipse manifold $90
-Ported 14b w/ wastegate $170 Used
-Starion Polished intercooler $160 Used
-Piping,etc $200local
-1g crushed BOV $90
-SAFC $250 used
-Rc 450cc injectors $185 used
-Downpipe/exhaust $80 local
-Autometer Boost gauge $65 used
-greddy 60mm EGT $180

I already have Bosch FPR and 2g eclipse fuel pump installed.

Basically the turbo I'm using isnt the biggest thing around and I was wondering what amount of boost would I need to get past the 200hp/tq milestone with your pistons on that turbo. Another question that I would greatly appreciate if you advised me is what would be maximum reccomended boost on your pistons if I used them.

I saw that you also sell a sort of piggyback computer. Is this the same as the SAFC or is it better? And can I have it tuned at my local dynojet or you are the only ones that can tune it? I dont have much experience tuning turbo engines ands I was also wondering if you already shipped it with a tuning map of some sort.
Your help will be greatly appreciated. thanks. help

The piggy back is much better than the SAFC, I have used the SAFC and the tuning options that it gives me does not really compare with the CNK ECU.

Check through this forum area and you will find more information about the CNK ECU

btw...you can get an Autometer EGT guage for much cheaper than that $180 price
