The piston to wall clearance is a little difficult to give ---- what mileage do you have, what sleeves are you using, what bore (oversize?)

I cannot give you this, but what I will give you is the exact bore of the pistons to the thousanth of a mm. It measures 82.010mm ---

You can use this to measure your own bore clearance with a bore guage.

:Edit by MaierApril - Offensive comments have been taken out:
Yes, the cylinder bore varries a bit when it was original bored and wears on it from use.

But since you cannot measure every ENGINE you are sending this kit to.

You must be working with a static number avg of the stock bore.

And you should be able to give a simple answer as to the piston to wall clearence you are are offering with your piston.

So you must be expecting atleast a 82.018mm+
bore to stay with in stock specs of the stock piston.

Hint, it has to do with the thermal expansion rate of the piston. poke

IIRC, the bore on a stock motor is 82.5mm; that would leave 0.49mm.

But I too would be interested in seeing a straight answer; never seen any piston manufacturer or distributor that had trouble or even hesitation in giving clearance.

Ok. I was wondering if you can overbore the 1.6 Beta block to 85mm? And can you make pistons at this size?

I am starting to get a little irritated with your BS comments about me --- If you don't like it DON'T BUY IT!!!

The piston size is exactly 82.010mm and thats that! I don't care what you thnk about the comments or the answers I give, if you don't like it LEAVE IT!
Now that is a good professional way to handle the situation. He is just trying to get some facts about a product before he decides to buy them.
I would of asked just as many if not more questions before I buy a set, whether it is from you, or JE pistons.
