So if I understand correctly, you add the MAP but you still keep the MAF; meaning that you'd need to run a hose (if the MAP is internal to the piggy-back) or wires (if it's external) from the engine bay to the piggy-back. Is that right?

Is your piggy-back able to control ignition right now, or will it need a future upgrade or something like that to be able to tune ignition? Also, did you have a chance to test the piggy-back on a MAF car at all yet? Thanks a lot Chris!

Argarwal ---

The ECU wires up into the harness at the tock computer box, no wires are run into the engine bay at all. The MAP simply needs a vacuum hose run to it - which can be Tee'd into the FPR line or you could use a blanked vacuum port on the intake manifold. There is one behind the throttle body it has a plastic/rubber blank over it.

It controls ignition AND fuel --- RIGHT NOW AS IT STANDS 100% It also works with Lambda, cold start, etc etc --- but I will not release those features just yet -- for now - fueling and ignition --- FULL CONTROL!

Lambda is another name for O2 sensor..... yours is plugged into the corner of your manifold....

Yes you will have full control of the tuning

It is a Motorola 2.5bar Map sensor --- remember one thing about this sensor though..... it is absolute ..

Meaning that if you are at the coast - the outside atmospheric pressure is already 1.0bar (15PSI) so you will essentially only boost 1.5bar POSITIVE pressure above atmospheric.

Just one quick question what software will be needed to programme this. The reason i ask ia at the moment i have a UNIchip, whilst it is not as expensive to tune here as it is in the US you still have to go to an autherised dealer to have it tuned. They wont release the software to anyone else so even if i have a guy that is awesome at tuning if he is not a dealer he cant do a thing.

I'm curious as to what happens to the stock MAP sensor... Do you remote the stock MAP with a check valve so it doesnt see boost? Or is the stock sensor replaced and the cnk ecu in sole control over the fuel and spark curves with the factory ECM simply disconnected from the injectors?

Jon

The CNK ECU will come with software to tune the engine with --- BUT the map I supply with the ECU will be protected so that you cannot change any parameters, I must do this to prevent the engine from being damaged by any tampering. I also have a log of when and what parameters are changed with times and dates logged onto a flash chip which only I can access - one of the mods I required when designing this in conjunction with the other company.

Skierd ---

Sorry I cannot tell you that --- I'm not being funny, but I am one of the VERY few people who use this technique with a piggy back system at present, and this is for my eyes and ears only. This is also why this is one of the only piggy systems that is able to do a complete MAF to MAP conversion with the connection of about only 8 wires..... and STILL wired into the stock ECU

...which means we would NOT be able to tune the piggy-back to our taste? What if we don't have your kit?
