phantom, once you have an update on them, I'd be interested in taking KA's spot... I don't have all the cash right now, but I could give you a deposit of say 150-200, and pay the rest by the end of february, or sooner if they arrive before then. I'll probably have to pay more for shipping since i'm in Canada. If you need the lump sum, I'm sure theres someone else here who will take it.

DECEMBER 1st was the EARLIEST that anything could have been started because thats the day it was confirmed everyone was paid up. that is less than 2 months ago. so, you think that sending an order of 5 friggin exhaust to a huge company in japan, that is not going to put our stuff first, for any reason, and they shouldnt have to; should have the exhausts produced, perfected, test fitted, packed, and shipped to you in less than two months?

even if this is being done at the US Apexi plant, 2 months would be asking for a really quick turnaround.

odds are though, they are being made in japan, and will be shipped overseas, which will probably take weeks upon weeks alone.. what dont you understand.. you think because you can have a shop custom fab you up something alot sooner, that it compares to having something made from a huge international company in japan?

EDIT: post editted to take out most useless info, and keep info. that can be helpful into why this may be taking so long.

If the shipping from the US wasn't so expensive I'd be in on this exhaust, i'd take KAW's. APEXi make awesome exhausts, some of the ones on Japanese cars here in Aus, look and sound amazing, craftsmanship 2nd to none.

Unfortunatly it works out to be cheaper to get one made here.

If you do manufacture parts, your doing it talking to the people your doing it with on a small scale.

You = in small business
Apexi = multi million dollar company with probably over a billion dollars in parts sitting in milllions of square feet of space... on the other side of the world.

5 exhausts would be a heavy order for you. 5 exhausts is not a heavy order with Apexi.

Imagine yourself running a company that makes hundreds of different products with hundreds of different applications, making thousands of parts a day. Then some guy in Greece calls you up and orders five exhausts from you, from an application you do not even have in stock nor make parts for any more.

How fast do you think you would get parts to him?

Get real.

As far as I remember when we initially ordered the APexi exhausts from Rick it took a couple of months for all of us to get them. KAW you need to watch the threats. PhantomHP said he will get you your money back, that's fair enough. I am not in on this one, I already have the exhaust on my 99. As far as I see it the only one that will be losing out on this is you since you are giving up your exhaust.

Alright, i'm beginning to trust phantomhp little more now. I had a PM from a member on here that said you ripped people off before, but i'm sure that wasnt your fault. My appologies if I came off like a inpatient guy...i'm real patient and can wait a little longer. Gator Drag isn't 'til April anyways and i'm sure we'll have them by then. But yes, I did forget that APEX'i might of tried to knock out the orders first. So this all makes sence now. I also didn't realize that these were test fitted, that's well worth $550 for this exhaust to fit perfect!

Yeah there is alot more to the previous story then what others say. Most the time the full story gets cut short which isn't good.

Yes we all are making sure these exhausts are a perfect fit just because 1. thats how we handle our orders, 2. since these are special order and they aren't sitting in stock some where, would suck to get one that doesn't work, and 3. because we want to make sure things go as great as possible for you guys to have a great prodcut.

These systems are usually a no refund product due to them being special ordered but because KAW has made it pretty clear he doesn't trust us and since he filed a paypal claim, I will have one exhaust kit open. I have had a couple members say the would like it and I am willing to work with whoever wants it as far as payment goes, just PM me and we will go from there.

I know when I bought my exhaust on my Si, it really didn't fit well and had to keep taking it to a muffler shop and it was just a royal pain in the butt.

If any of you have any questions about anything just pm us, we aren't here to hide anything.

Also I will be updating tomorrow with what information I am going to beat out of these guys. smile.gif
