Anyone got news about first gen altezza`s?
Ok, but SOMEONE is making money on the accumulated interest REGARDLESS. There have been many preorders, not just on the euros but many of the other products as well that are no where to be seen. I too have ordered other products from SR and got them. Just pretend for once that this is a scam on the lights...they aren't going to not send everyone there products because then there is enough proof for a lawsuit. So they send most of there products, but then do preorders on items that can't be found anywhere else and they know a lot of people will give there money for. Well, someone just got a lot of preorder money for an item that is not being made. Those waiting for years with no updates start to wonder what is going on, while their money is sitting in some bank. Those who have gotten every product they have ordered keep ordering more, while being advocates for SR because they have never had a problem and can't understand what the big deal is. They are targeting small amounts of people at a time with these fake orders, while still getting your business. Until eventually they have a preorder for something you want...and it never comes... Now I'm not saying this is whats happening, I'm just saying anything is possible. I have not asked for my money back because I have tried to be patient, and I really want the lights, not my money back. For everyone saying this isn't a big deal, then tell me why it is so hard to get an update, and a good solid answer as to why SR would go through such an unprofessional company for the lights and be willing to get jagged around w/out taking further action? No upstanding company would hold customer's money for YEARS without a product to show for, its not professional.

You know I asked for a number to call for MONTHS when they wouldn't get my order together and I just got told that "my problem was a 'non-issue'", and that "since we are an internet based company we deal with all of our customer service and orders on the internet. Customer Service gets EVERY email they get sent and they ALL get responded to within 48 hours..."... then ask for your money back (e-mail isn't a "perfect" way of communicating, you might try calling them)...

I hope everyone takes time to thank redzman for his post and will member rate him a 5 for being such a good team sport. But for me i hope you all will just keep this thread going till it fills up the hard drive of someone who finally is so sick of it that he calls SR and gets everyone their money back or some tail lights that are still at this point NON EXISTANT. There are some people out there who are totally feeling what im saying and they are kind enough to keep their feelings in a non public place, but i want to light some fires under some people so that butts will get out of chairs and get to work on getting me my money or a REAL excuse on why my lights aren't in the back of my car. Keep it going everyone, this is the highlight of my day to see tons of post on a once closed topic. Dont try to close it now

I'm not anti SR. I was a HUGE SR fan and a avid/rabid member of TSR, they helped me with my questions and really made me realize that I could do ALOT with my car, unlike my Honduh friends telling me Nope.
Looking back on it, the only people that WERE helpfull there are here now. Random, HyundaiJVX, Hootie *Pain in da *** , but still helpfull wink *, Visions, SPOKE, and some others...
SPOKE *SPIKE* was the same, a BIG supporter, handing out SR's outdated flyers, meeting people and trying to get stuff going, people to join, but what happened?
They dissed us, their buying public, and they don't care. You send the emails to Customer Service and they "Magically" didn't get that ONE email, or whups, our email server went down again. You post in THEIR forums and "Whoops, you don't ask customer service questions here!" You beg for some help and wait for YEARS literally for a part, and nothing...
Why should I support a company who's entire being is based on lies and bad support?

Oh well, like I said before, the proof is in the pudding (CAI, CF Hoods, fenders...), and if it doesn't change by March, I'll not renew my membership and will not talk good about SR.
THAT will bite them in the AZZ, because of word of mouth, the people that once supported them the most and WORKED the hardest for FREE to help get pepole into TSR and to buy SR stuff will bring them down.
HDK looks good these days. At least they got me my guages.
All of this over some people wanting answers...

This topic is closed, because its nonsense. If you dont want to wait for the lights, ask for a refund. The most it will take is about 4 weeks to get the money either back on a credit card, or through the mail. If you want an update ont he lights, just keep checking back the webpage. The only people on the planet who have the full story on it are the individuals at the Korean Office. They will update the webpage when they have concrete information of what is going on. From our last conversation with them a week ago, they should have an update today, tomorrow, or tuesday...

What are you talking about? The only interest that could possibly be gained in this euro light thing, would be the bank if SR had to borrow money to get the lights done. SR had already lost 50K plus in this project, but you make it sound as if they put your money into a savings account somewhere to gain interest? Shark Racing doesnt even have a savings account, they have BUSINESS CHECKING accounts which do not yeild interest, so even if they were holding your money in limbo, it wouldnt be gaining interset.QUOTE
Im sure they are but that is no reason for not informing your customers. When they had problems with the first supplier they eventually informed us of this, although that took a long time.

getting clear corners for a first gen TIB that did not have proper connectors in them so i had to jimmy rig.
There isnt anything you have to jimmy rig. The Korean Clear corners do not use the same bulb as the US ones. All you do is use your stock set up. It doesnt requre custom modifications or much time.QUOTE

Well I just can't seem to believe that a company who brags about bringing in such big figure numbers a year would allow another company (whoever is manufacturing the lights) take advantage of THEM. If it is true that the problem isn't w/SR, then what is SR doing to control the problem they are having w/the other company that's had their product for well over a year? You better believe SR won't allow themselves to get screwed (especially when it comes to money issues).
It doesnt matter the size of the company. Noone is immune from getting screwed. Companies many times our size have been screwed by factories. Some, even bigger than this which has resulted in SR loosing 10's of thousands of dollars. Granted, im sure the Korean office didnt just kick back when they got screwed...most likely they tried, or are even continuing to try their hardest to get their money back, but I dont know the story, and neither do you.QUOTE

You just dont get it? What mysterious interest? Anytime SR has had a preorder on a product, it probably only ends up covering for 25% if that of the actual cost of the R&D and initial investment. The rest came out of SR's pockets. Thats the whole point of prebuys, to get some of the capital needed on an investment..its used right away. But this is a moot point. Even if for some odd reason the money was sitting somewhere, it wouldnt be gaining any interest since business accounts do not get interest.QUOTE

Not even close to the truth. We have had a phone number since we opened our US office in July. It has also been posted on the internet all of this time. At that time, also all emails were being replied to within two business days.Bullpucky.
