Depends on the driver, the shape of the engine, the altitude you are burnin at, lots of stuff man. Get the headers, a BBTB, and have Onpol bore out your IM. Save the rims and tires for last. Big thing with rims is, don't get huge heavy ones, or even chrome, they just detract from your performance. Everyone wants to go with 17's or 18's, and some crazy freaks try 19's. No need. The bigger the wheel, the heavier. The smaller the wheel, the faster it turns and the lighter they are the less force it takes to turn them. Chrome is HEAVY. Not to mention, 17's and 18's really affect ride quality. Take a serious look at some light 16's, non chrome, and lower your car a bit. Ask Random.

I had a set of 16s on the car right after I bought it seemed to be fine no loss of power or anything.

The problem with wheels bigger than 16 is not really their weights.. but where the weight is located. On a smaller rim, the weight is more or less evenly distributed across the wheel from hub to tread.. On a wider rim with a lower profile tire.. the weight gets pushed closer and closer to the edge...where it takes more and more energy to turn it. If you were to take a 14 inch rim with a 195/60 on it that weighed the same as my 16s with 205/45s.. it would take less energy to get the 14 inch wheel turning, even though both were the same weight, mass, and size.. but to rotational mass.. the 14 would weigh less because so much of that weight was nearer the hub.

16's my man, especially with that much of a drop. 17's would prolly rub with a 2.5 inch drop. I'm running 16's with 205 50's on them and they look tizight!

Now to just get them on the car...

LOL

No matter what though, the larger you go in the same type of rim, the heavier it is, and the more performance you lose. Not to mention, 17's and larger are MUCH more easy to get damaged by bad roads.

LOL, if you even tried those around here you would:
1. Have no suspension left.
2. Have a banged up fenderwell.
3. Have tire bulges.
4. Have no money because you spend it all on replacing bent/cracked rims.
