Tanc Build, Volume 2, Final Update Oct 25
Thanks for the comments guys. Canuck build ftw.
Btw mwood, there's actually no guide coat on her at the moment. I was going to spray it on but I noticed some imperfections that I want to remove first before I guide coat it. A guide coat is another light coat of primer that is usually red/black and is sprayed on after your main primer/sealer whatever. After you guide coat you use a long sanding block and begin to sand the guide coat off. Once you start you can see the highspots/low spots that the guide reveals. If both sand together at the same time, then the panel is flat, but if the guide remains in the spot, and there's primer all around, then thats a low spot. If primer is in the middle followed by guide around it, then thats a high spot. Hopefully that explained it.

looking good man! and I thought I had a lot of time in my project!
I think someday I might redo the tib to this extent but right now I just want to get it back on the road!

depending on where or who you are, colorsand and guide coat are the same thing, depending on the area.
usually people use the term "colorsand" on multiple coats of paint but i have heard it on primer.

as far as i know, guide coat is always meant to make a perfect surface for paint, which you need or your paint job will likely suck. i always though color sand was after clear, before polish, and really high grit (1500 to 2000)
