Yah i originally put the hood on for a couple days to make sure it fit, but were having unusually mild weather lately so ive left it on, itll prolly come off soon

Yah jon it fit, but i had to cut the studs and threading the nuts was a b****. but it fit, i thought of ceramic coating it, but thought it was too late now, does that stuff you were talking about "bake" by running it? that would be cool haha, maybe ill do that, dont know what color though

Thanks for the replies!

Yea, it says that it can cure by running the car for like 30 minutes idling. Using the oven, you need to heat it, then let it cool, heat it higher, let it cool, etc.

Yea, took some work to do, thats why i'm ticked about it not fitting.

yeah where did you find the deal on the hood? was that before shipping?

oh btw, in one pic there the vortech isn't hooked up to vacuum... I'm assuming that's fixed now?

oh and are you getting a cel on just having a breather on the idle air bypass? I was planning on welding a small pipe on mine just before the tb to attach it to, like it is stock.

That hood and turbo look awesome. I wish I could find a CF hood for the Elantra.

Is tht breather filter on the idle control? How is the idle. I wonder if I need too do that

good work......

welp looking at these pics makes me even more excited , because I just ordered that hood! I cant wait for it to come in.. I paid a little more, but with the dmg, on my car, i saved 250.00, instead of just getting a factory hood and painting it..

Awesome!

What sort of numbers do you think you are getting on 5psi? Do you reckon you are likely to get it dyno'd if you haven't already?
