In a really easy explanation.. In a hard launch/acceleration, the LSD locks both wheels causing them to receive equal power instead of just one wheel spin. Basically it works in a way to give you a better traction; enables you to better put down power into the ground.

honestly, a quaife will NOT allow both wheels to turn the same. Because it is a "torque biasing" differential (their words) and not a clutch style, it will allow a wheel that is up in the air to spin freely. You can even do a "peg leg" burnout with a quaife installed if one wheel has absolutly no traction.
Only a clutch style will allow both wheels to turn at the same time.

thanks for clearing that out, mad... i just blurd that out according to my notes here
i should have indicated that i was pertaining to the clutch type LSD (ie: Phantom Grip, etc)
