I support what you guys are doing, but honestly, even trying to get enough folks in the US to show up for ONE meet, with months of advance notice, to make it worthwhile, is almost impossible. The ABQ BBQ averages about 10 folks, the Nopi Nats got us about 4 or 5 from this site, and maybe 10 from NT total? Most of them never talked to eachother, or the GK guys just would totally avoid us.

Unfortunately though, that's the world of it. Hell, even Tibsunited.com , meant to BRING us together, did nothing more than drive the wedge in further.

If you are going to do 2 a year, I suggest having them in opposite places in the country, and keeping them somewhat permanant in place. Moving it every year sounds neat, but in the end, lots of folks say they are coming and don't.

Thanks for the support Redz.....And for Canada, I can not step into that realm just yet, that is a whole nother can of worms to be opened. Tibfest is the meet team for Canada, until I hear other wise.

I agree with the idea of staying put in a premenant local, but the whole point of Tibathon is basically tour the nation, hell if only 10 people show up so be it, then that is what counts the most.....I am expanding this to open up something for people that is different, to take them into a city or town they have never been to before....

I will see how this year goes, next year I am looking at Philly to hold my east coast meet at, my home town is where I want to spend 3 days at.
