Default Xmas pressie for all you Forced Induction guys out there.

Living in the UK, we don't exactly get drowned with supply of parts for Hyundais.
So one of my ports of call was to MSD the guys who build and run the Hyundai WRC cars.
They were not really interested in talking to me about the Tiburon/Coupe road cars, but gave me a contact number for the guys who bought the two Ex-works WRC Tiburons/Coupes off them along with all the toys smile.gif
I have been in e-mail contact with these people over the last few weeks, although it has been quiet the last few days as they are rather busy.
As well as running the two Ex-WRC cars they have started getting into the road car side of things as a side line.
Due to only starting on the road cars as a side line they don't have a lot to offer at the minute, so I am waiting until I get a few more e-mails before posting a lot of info(nothing worse than dribs and drabs of info all the time).
I have not got Horsepower figures yet for their cars, but a couple of things they did mention was that they are trying out the driveshafts from the new gen3 Tiburon/coupe in the Gen1+2 for strength as apparently the gen3 driveshafts are thicker than the Gen1/2 driveshafts so should be stronger.
Not sure on direct replacements or modified for the driveshafts as they have not replyed to that e-mail yet.
The other thing is that they are using a LSD in the Gen1 they have built and say it works great, but then again am unsure as to what power they are putting throuigh it.
My contact is going to get me a price and make for the LSD to fit into a standard box.
Not wanting to get your hopes up as the LSD could turn out to be a kaaz unit, something we have already been through before.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Barry.

Okay just a quick update, although there has not been a lot of reply's so I presume you guy's are not interested, but here goes anyway.
The LSD is a modified Mitsubishi unit and fits into the standard box.
The new Gen3 Tiburon driveshafts are a direct replacement.

Barry.
