Crower makes whatever rods you want, just provide the length, bearing width, main diameter a horsepower figure. That's how I got my set of Crower rods six years ago...

Same thing as pistons -- tell 'em diameter, pin height, ring radial depth and spacing, and dish volume and you've got a pretty good blueprint.

I know the most popular style of Crowers are the H beam ones and I've seen them crack in V8 applications. How's the reliability compared to the Pauter I beam rods?

The ones I bought were entirely solid, no "beam" configuration at all. Stupidly heavy laugh.gif I'd actually be more worried about the side-loading of the piston walls than bending or breaking a rod, given how short the rod/stroke ratio is on our motors.

How heavy were they? I know my Pauters were pretty dang heavy as well. Had to take a bit of material out of the crank to get it all to balance with the lighter than stock pistons.

yup on of my push conversion that i'm adapting to the dsm turbo clutch
for the rods like Red said, crower will be whatever you want to whatever spec you have

in my case they're lighter then stock rods (I beam style),don't come close to the bottom of the cylinders and are the good lenght (pauter's are 0.010" too short)

for the power if i get "only" 400whp" i won't be happy...
