Default Water to air intercoolers

Has anyone ever used this type of set up? What did you think of it and is it hard to maintain?

My friend Matt (jattus.com) uses air to water coolers exclusively on his 2.0L I4 and 2.7L V6 Hyundai Turbo kits. They work awesome!
