Here is an article on the Turbo-Zet---->

it basically says that it is like installing a PC fan into your car!

Actually Garrett has an electrical turbo assist motor that is also in testing.

I particularly like the fact that the fans barely cover the path of the air passing through it,even on the single version, the fan is offset into the side of the unit, thus really limiting the surface area of the blades vers the total size of the opening.

Same article Cheuk...but it is really interesting man! Imagine, one of these days there'll be no lag, we can preset the boost threshold if and when VATN comes round to becoming the mainstay, along with multi-channel boost control presets along with preprogrammed boost control maps...damn man this Turbo thing is just gonna get weirder and wierder huh! Thats good for you guys who make power...but for guys like me who gotta make the power stay there, servicing these things and overhauling them...I'M GONNA GO MAD!!!

oH UHH...Chase, check it out man, offsetting the position of the fan actually ENCOURAGES cavitation of the airstream and in turn this makes airflow resonation in the ports more of a likely hood. SO to bypass all the techno mumbo jumbo lets just put it this way man...this thingy sucks!

"When connected to power:

Tiny electric fans rotate at speed similar to PC-cooling fans, creating a faint breeze

Reaction of all technical experts who examined the Twin Turbo Zet:

Extreme mirth"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Quite the ringing endorsement.

You might need to lower the compression with all that boost. rolleyes.gif

Maybe I could hook a turbo zet up to my PC to cool things down a bit.

First of all there is now way in hell you are gonna get 8 psi of boost out of a leaf blower. (Espically an electric one) Sorry but not possible. It takes approximately 700 Watts to make 1 psi of boost. 8 psi would be greater then 4200 watts, which inturn means you would have to be drawing around 350 (4200/12) amps. Uh huh, your cars electrical system will just take a @#$% right there. rolleyes.gif Ok second, we have ordered the E-Ram device for our cars, accent and Tiburon. This is available for purchase and is not a proto-type device, it has been around for years.

www.electricsupercharger.com

As for performance, on average at WOT your car is running about -0.5 psi with a good CAI. With IM/TB porting (58mm) your running about -0.2 psi. This makes about a 1.5 car length difference in the 1/4 mile which is HUGE (ask Neo_Tib or Jaws01). Now with some sort of assisted induction system, even taking a stock Tib and increasing the intake psi above 0.0 psi at WOT will provide massive HP results (58mm TB/IM provided 7 HP so probably around 10HP with a stock TB and 0.0 psi intake pressure). The electric supercharger claims to provide +0.5 psi on a stock car. With a good CAI maybe +1.0 psi. This will give HP no matter how you look at it. It draws about 1 HP (746 watts) from your alternator and creates about 10. So a 9HP is expected (I am hoping for more with the CAM and exhaust and headers).

I have spoken with Brian at E-ram racing regarding a group buy for the E-ram 3.0 Inline. We are setting up a deal for the Tiburons, and I will have dynos to posted in a few weeks. Contact me if interested. Also it will be mounted behind the MAF, so there will be no swirling air in the MAF, dont need to point it out :-}

P.S. This is why I had to sell my AOS. smile.gif

Thanks
-Steve
