I want to boost my Tibby, probably now 6 psi (on 10.3:1 CR, 91 octane).
And I also want to install equipment for natural gas (4th gen - propan injector). There are a lot of gas stations with natural gas, 2 minutes from my house I can buy propane.

1 galon of 91 octan is $15.13
1 galon of propane is $6.81

Also propane has higher octane (about 100) and it burns slower, so it should be less chance of detonation.

What do you think? Will it be safe?

i've heard of propane injection on diesels making insane amounts of power...i think bullydog makes their kits

i'd check them out first and ask their tech guys what they think about running it on a gas car and give them ur specs.

i could be wrong, but i think that the propane gets used up really fast to because the install ive seen had a prolly 10-15 gallon tank.

why not just go with the tried and true methanol injection?

IJSTBRNDU, I think you were talking about methane.

There are methane systems. ! galon of methane is $3. But you will lose about 15-20% of power. Also in Ukraine it's harder to fing a methane gas station.

Faith, I doubt you don't want your car to run 50% cheaper!

I'm not talking about injecting propane to boost higher. I want to run on natural gas, cause it's 2 times cheaper.

There are a lot of shops that install equipment to run on propane.
I'm curious how reliable will it be and what will be with engine life.

But Tibby have small trunk. There are propane gas tanks that is placed instead of spare wheel, but spare will will be laying in the trunk = almost no room in the trunk.
