the turbo LC project moves
My new turbo:
"This turbocharger has been upgraded to Hi-pressure brass fittings. the water inlet and outlet now uses 3/8" hoses. the oil inlet and outlet also have been upgraded. the oil inlet has been upgraded to 1/4"NPT fittings and the outlet has been uprgraded to 1/8"NPT fittings. This turbo also comes with a 90 degree elbow that makes installing the charge pipes much easier. When charged with oil there is no play in the shaft what so ever. The compressor housing is fully polished and the rest of the turbo has been painted with a Hi-temperature paint that has been baked and cured. Also included in this auction is a gasket for the 90 degree elbow and a steel weldable oil drain bung which is to be welded to the oil pan for proper oil drainage. The oil drain bung accepts a 1/4"NPT fitting."
Got it off ebay, won the auction at the very very last second. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=1834019197

Looks like an IHI RHB5, guessing a 311-spec because the compressor side isn't as big as my 393-spec was. That would mean it came off a 1.8L turbo Subaru.
Saying I've guessed the above correctly, that turbo is good for around 190-200whp. Not a bad place to start, just don't overboost the hell out of it. It would probably be most comfortable (ie within it's efficiency range) around 170whp give or take.
If that turbo is indeed the RHB5 393-spec off one of the 2.2L Imprezas or something, then it's good for about 220-230WHP at peak; efficiency range is more around the 190-200whp range.
I bought my 393-spec for $150, cleaned it up and then re-sold it again for the same money smile.gif What made me get rid of it was the wierd-assed 5-bolt pattern on the exhaust side. That is a BITCH to make a custom downpipe for...
P.S. I may still have the flowmaps for both of those turbos here at the office somewhere. I'll check around and see if I can find it...

*OEM Supra BOV (thanks to shadohh smile.gif )
*OEM tiburon injectors (thanks to shadohh again smile.gif , 245cc/min)
*fuel rail and return line from a 2000+ accent equipted with the 1.5L SOHC (for the conversion to return system)
*Vortech SFMU
*Walbro 255Lph fuel pump
*Autometer A/F ratio, Boost, and EGT guages
*Denso Iridium Plugs
*KORE Stage 3 clutch
*Manifold
1)1.6L DOHC accent manifold with the cat hacked off and a mounting flange welded on in its place, possibly ported
or
2)custom logs style manifold
*downpipe and o2 housing for whichever subaru this turbo came from
*custom 2.5or 3" exhaust, depending on downpipe
Sound right for a 7psi (what the stock wastegate is set at) setup?
