Default Turbo Heat Shields

May have to get crafty and weld up myself a heat shield like this

MAPerformance used to have these back in the day for GC owners but they stopped selling them due to very low sales. Exceladyne makes one, but I'm not too crazy about the design of it.











Shouldnt be too difficult to whip up the style in the first pic that MAP did. I figure I'll make it out of raw steel and then spray it with some type of ceramic coating underneath to keep temps down even more.

You could look into a turbo blanket as well. I have one on the Tib and it works great! Seriously helped reduce under hood temps.



As for making your own, I made a shield back in the day with nothing more then a bending brake from harbour freight, a rivet gun,and a stainless kick plate for a door from home depot! Worked great! I'll see if I can dig up a pic or 2
