If this is your daily driver, I dont think 300 HP is a realistic #. And yes this has been covered a ton of times before. I do however rec. you get a manual tranny.

So, I assume that the people who have turbos either run a lower PSI or it's not their daily driver?

u can run pretty high boos withe the tib, i figured a while ago that you can run 10 or 11 psi on stock internals on a daily driver, some people have ran more than that though and have had no problems, dosent that one 2 motor tib have 317 whp on stock internals with the rear motor

I think Tim dynoed on 12 psi with low compression pistons and got 243 whp, and because he had low comp pistons it would be the same as about 10 psi, but you can get more hp by doing other stuff without turning up the boost, but that is the easiest way to do it lol.gif

do the turbos cause a cel and if the do is there a way around it? Not by unplugging it but by tuning it?

Uhm, nope.

The dual engine tib had 306 to the front and 317 to the rear. Each was turbocharged and methanol injected. And, they were Automatic tranny's.

...

Turbo's don't cause CEL's. Bad installations and such cause CEL's. Engine problems cause CEL's.

The major problem with 300whp is FWD... realistically, if you hydroplane and accidently make too much boost, you could kill yourself easily. There are hundreds of ways to kill yourself with too much power and FWD.

300WHP with FWD doesn't just need an engine. You need:

Way better suspension
Way better braking
Way better drivetrain

You want 300whp and FWD, and you want to live, your going to spend more than a few thousand on a turbo kit.

Also, you probably will be at or near the overflowing point for the MAF. I don't think the MAF sensor will like all that air. Which probably means a CEL, which probably means standalone. Also, the stock ECU (from what I've heard) doesn't like to hold a tune and doesn't like larger injectors. More problems...
