I have a question, the vac. routing for the Tial wastegate....

Do you need the "vent" as the instructions say between the boost controller and the top of the wastegate?

Im really confused about this...

what ever you do not connect , your waste gate to any vacum line.. only your charge pipe

yes, you connect the port on the side of your wastegate to the charge piping (typically the turbo outlet) the reason for this is that there is a serious delay between when the turbo starts spooling and the vacuum signal reaches the wastegate this can cause boost spikes

the top port on teh wastegate is only used when a boost controller is run, you use the boost controller to push the diagphram the other way against the one on the side to hold it open/closed
