where did you find a piece of aluminum for the idle air bypass?

i am just going to weld in a fitting i think... gonna use a -10an i think... not 100% sure, im doing it right now

if you had a CAI installed before you can use that elbow with the bypass, assuming it was aluminum, otherwise you could just use the stock one.

thats what i thought about doing viper, when i looked on summit thats pretty much all that came up for aluminum pipe.

double edit: btw, on a quick side note, what the heck does an stand for and how do you measure it??

i would just chop a peice off of a crappy ebay intake. its just a straight ~.5 inch pipe.

dang, no one has, well I'm planning on going through with the fitting like you. that's all I had come up with as well.

edit: that isn't a half bad idea tibby01, the only reason for not doing that is so i can sell it....

alrighty, I found a better solution yesterday. I went to lowes and found that they do sell aluminum pipe. in 1/2" and 3/4". The 3/4" is a perfect match to the idle air bypass on my cai. plus you get like 3ft. for 5 dollars. cool.gif
