Unless you get reground cams your pretty much at the top as far as it come to cams. Im sure there are some after market ones for you but like you said we 2.0's like to use the intake cam because it gives us a little better power range.

You can get regrinds for 550 I believe that are a nice design and done well fmor what Ive heard. Thats about your only option. If you need a set of cams to send in I have a set here I can sell you and ship right to KFX (the place that does the cams) if you would like. I was looking for 80 shipped if you are interested.

Theyre supposed to be real nice. PM me if you are going to get them and need some spare cams so you dont need to have any down time on your car.

Maybe I've been smokin too much, ( lmao.gif ), but isnt there a handful of tibs around the world that came with a 1.6l engine?? Just wondering if there is, has anyone seen about getting these cams to work in our 2.0's. Maybe they are even more agressive than the 1.8's everyone knows and loves.

^^^ Yes, but they're very much different, I don't even think they fit our engines.
I think there's a new member who has the 1.6, check the intro sections, if I remember right, he has a red Tib.

I've had a few, seen a lot, but without a doubt, the Colt Cams regrinds through KFX are the best bang for the buck.

BUT, if you don't have supporting mods (full I/H/E, tunability for fuel and such), NO cams are really worth a damn.

I have heard that you don't want regrinds if you can keep from it. Something about changing the base circle and causing things to not line up right unless you machine the caps. You guys run into any of those issues? Also what about the Hwarang cams Fast Hyundai sells. The page doesn't say if they are regrinds or not.

I have had the problem of not lining up properly using regrinds....the company that I used was Piper Cams who are very reputable here in the UK...but they got it wrong....however resolved the issue. Like redz said if you don't have fuel tuning and other mods there is little point in getting cams.
