Superc,

Please clarify this question to us:

- What kind of temp sensor? Aftermarket or stock? Aiflow, Coolant, Oil, etc?
- Is this with regarding in connection to a piggyback?

If you are pertaining to the IAT (intake air temp) sensor... have it before the turbo

wouldnt boost blow it out if you had it right before the throttle body?

but then again, it wouldnt be getting an accurate reading if it wasnt measuring the air going to the engine.

hrmmm.

put it before the turbo, yes it would have problems with boost, even if it didnt blow out it would most definatly leak, and the more accuratness becomes negligable if you have an intercooler, my charge pipe is not any warmer than the inlet ambient air.

it is MUCH easier and still effective to use it before the turbo, and even if the actual air reaching the engine is warmer than the temperature reading the engine would compensate by adding a very small amount of extra fuel, and more fuel from the stock ecu under boost should be welcomed, off boost the air isnt being compressed much so the temp difference would be very small.

Mines before the turbo now, but when I change to MAP I might also relocate the IAT to before the TB. Theres a few people around here that jbweld them in with no problems... I havent decided if I will or not yet

thanks guys, I'm thinking the best solution for now will be just putting it before the turbo.

I might do what jaws said and get one that screws-in in the future.
