Default t3 gasket blowing

Hey every1 i am new to this forum, i have a 99 tiburon its been turbo'd about 6 months now running 5-8 psi stock internals everything runs fine exepct gaskets. I have a 2.5 downpipe n exhaust but i cant seem to keep gaskets in the car. Where the t3 turbo comes off the header. Ive used copper & stainless steel gaskets both of them blow out. any idea on why?

From the header to the manifold or the manifold to the turbo?

Either way, take the manifold to a.machine shop and make sure the face is flat

get it machined then, if its warped, the seal wont seal and will blow out

Make sure that you torque the nuts/bolts down tight, warm the car up shut it off re tighten. After about 100 miles, re-tighten. Check once again after around 500, then after that you should be good.

The heat expansion/cooling loosens bolts slowly. One loose nut, and you've blown a gasket.

yeah i have diffently had issues with bolts coming loose. ive lost numerous studs outta the manifold/turbo flange. i finally moved to bolts they hold a bit better but still come loose from time to time, ive even went as far as using lock tight but they still come loose. My mechanic seems to tell me that its bc i have a 2.5" downpipe. He said it should b a 3.0" downpipe but ive read so many forums sayin that unless i am at 250+ whp that i dont need 3" exhaust. ima run the turbo n manifold down to the machine shop at the end of my road monday. oh and one more question Whats the best size injector for runnin 5-8psi i have ford red top 34lb injectors now. should i stay with those or go bigger?

A mechanic told you your blowing gaskets because your using a 2.5" DP instead of 3"? I really hope you stop going to him.

36lbs is fine.

When you lose a stud or bolt that puts uneven pressure on the mating surfaces. This uneven pressure can and will lead to warpage. You NEED to take it apart and have the manifold and turbine flange resurfaced to fix your problem.

I'd say test them for flatness first mate.
