Darn!
So is there currently any company producing a SuperCharger for the Tiburon?
(Alpines site is fairly informative)
Its a nice looking supercharger tho, too bad they flopped.

I spoke to rob from hyundaiperformance.com and he hinted at turbo and supercharger kits which will be available this year sometime. As far as I was told, they're gonna be the complete kit with ecu and everything. So i'm hoping for the best and waiting on the S/C kit. wink
I know most of you guys here are for turbo's, but the rimmer was dyno'ed at 200hp,180lbtq with a intercooler on stock intake and stock exhaust. With, CAI/K&N and exhaust/headers i'm pretty sure it'll could get higher than that, and say 220hp for 2-3grand for bolt-on performance? better than 6grand smile.gif Unless you want raw power, then you can go turbo wink but I already forked out 1g for my exhaust setup.

Decker,
Did you see a dyno or was that what was just stated by Rimmer?
There is a shop here in Korea that has tens of thousands of dollars of Rimmer Eaton and Autorotor kits sitting collecting dust. Detonation was a serious issue even with hours on the dyno and when finally tuned... made minimal power gains. The intercooler kit is a PITA to get to fit and work.
The kit is so hard to install, mechanics that love to get dirty and take engines apart for fun, dreaded having to install the Autorotor systems.
I seriously doubt that the Supercharger system is capable of making 200 wheel hp... if they are claiming 200 engine hp (even that is a stretch)... forget it, you can get there with NA mods.

yeah, the dyno sheet is on the rimmer page. Just went and checked it out again, and its crank hp, not whp. You can click on the link that croat has at the top of this post, the dyno sheets on it.
I wasn't aware a supercharger is hard to install, I thought it was just a bolt on setup. With a proper ecu upgrade detonation problems should be able to be avoided tho. We'll see. I'm hoping for a good S/C setup for the tib.
and if they've got thousands of dollars worth of superchargers lying around, do you think they could just reduce the boost for a easy 10-20hp without the intercooler and detonation problems?
and sell it cheap to get rid of them?

I've heard a rumor that KORE was thinking of a supercharger kit, but no word as to if they really are and/or when.

I just couldn't let another Rimmer inquery go by withou responding, so here goes. I am "the guy" at Fxtreme who bit the bullit and ordered that cock suckers supercharger kit. I paid Rimmer $1800.00 as a down payment. That has been over a year now and I still have not been able to get my money back from the m$%%&therfu%^7^!!!!. Definatley steer clear of that con! Anyways I just had to respond to this. For all you old timers on here who remember me I say hellow and it's great to see so many of you still on these Hyundai sites.
