Default got my turbo fueler today (RRFPR)

From ebay. Powerdyne Rising-Rate Fuel Pressure Regulator (RRFPR). $61 + Shipping. 12:1 fuel to boost ratio. Almost identical to the vortech unit, which sells for $150 (and over $100 on ebay). Plus it came with fuel lines, so there's another item I don't have to buy. This was a steal.

Now all I need are Gauges, Piping, Intercooler, and BOV and I'm ready to rock.

later,

pics tomorrow, hopefully. Here's a link to the e-bay auction:

I think the seller meant 2:1 ratio. That is 2 psi of fuel pressure rise for 1 psi of boost rise.

The only thing I don't like about this unit is that it may have a slight delay with onset of boost. The BEGI RRFPR corrects this by increasing fuel pressure before the onset of boost.

Cheuk, I'll call Powerdyne today and verify it.

As for problems with boost onset, I'm not too worried. A) my car runs rich now, so I feel I have a bit of a safety margin. cool.gif I'm only going to be running 6 psi to start. C) My turbo is going to spool wicked fast, so hopefully it will be compensated by then.

Heck, if I relist this item on e-bay with more information; I could probably get more than I paid. I bet a lot of people bidding on Vortech units didn't even see this one.

edit: Actually I think 12:1 is right. Here's some webpages I found:

http://www.superchargersonline.com/product...=fuelsystem_fmu

I'll still call them to verfify, though

Just talked to Powerdyne. It is indeed a 12:1 FMU. I'll still need to worry about the tip-in detonation, and I'll need to set up a "leak-bleed" to fine tune it.

Cheuk,
do have any advice on setting up the boost bleed? I know I need a needle valve and a check valve (to make sure I don't get a vacuum leak). I've seen some rudimentary drawings, but very little hard info.

Thanks,
ac
