This link will let u see them both. The Air Ram Intake is just the intake manifold. it is better than stock and allows more air into the engine. Before the air gets to that it goes through the TB, or BBTB (In kspec, Rside turbo throttle body) This also allows more air into the engine.

Plain and simple, more air+more Fuel= bigger boom

air ram intake is a not only a bigger than our intakes, but it is smoothed all along the insde, so air can enter the engine faster, and more of it can enter.

the BBTB has a wider diameter, and is also smoother. the engine needs air to make power, so mroe air is better.

now stop posting, and start reading through howstuffworks. NOW!!! evil.gif

you'll be busy all night, but you will know how a car works.

Basically all naturally aspirated modifications do is help the engine breathe. The stock intake, for example, is not very wide, and air doesn't flow into it well. With a cold air intake, however, it is usually 3 inches wide, and located below the engine bay where colder air is. a bigger throttle body means just that. Its bigger so it allows more air in. the intake manifold is larger and allows more air to come in at a higher velocity. The same goes for a header and exhaust. Bigger exhaust piping=higher flow and the engine is freeing up power. You can only go so big on our small engines though.

haha tnx, umm, u guys think my car can keep up without overloading with adding the air ram and BBTB? i mean like, how much is too much for such a small engine? at this point i think i just wanna add that manifold thigny and the BBTB, would that at least be accepted by the engine? and is it too hard to put on?

ya i have a 3 inch cold air intake, but its not low its actualy like right between the manifold and the batery, it wouldent fit anywhere else, my Toby is an automatic 02.gif

please dont double post man, use the edit button in the lower right hand corner of your posts if you need to add something.

what you have is not a cold air intake, it is a WAI(warmn air intake). CAI draw air from the ground. yours, is drawing in a lot of warm air from the heat the engine produces.

you wont overload your car without changing the internals of the engine. you're just making it breathe and fart a little easier.

really dude, read that stuff. you shouldnt even be posting until after you have. go. now.
