still having major problems

Theres just to many bugs in it..
its biggest problem I would say is the unichip. There are so many other/better/cheaper piggybacks they could have gone with. 2nd would be its upgradability. I dont know exactley why they put such a small turbo and small intercooler on it but its way cheaper and jsut as good to get a Mitsu mani, a 1G DSM sidemount and a DSM 14b with 1G piping and BOV. that recircs. Im thinking about doing that on my tib with just an S-AFC or something and getting the same results and spending only about $1200.
But everytime someone asks about it, I always bash it and give good reasons why

around 3 or 4 psi and 2500-3500 rpm the car just looses power, it almost hesitates and shakes horribly.... after i mash the pedal or get out of the 3500 rpm range it works great
Exactly what mine, Gary's, Maxxtib's, and probably several others does. If you reset the ECU, it'll work fine for a while, but will go back to running lean in the mid area. If it bogs like you said, let off because it's running lean.
Tim - One thing I've noticed is that it is happening with the 00-01 Tibs. Could be just a coincidence though.

I really don't have the problems like you guys are having, I'm not leaning out at all after I removed the unichip, my car just seems pull a little harder after I reset the ecu but my AF ratio is always good.

someone had mentioned before about a different computer that is lap top compatable
That was me, I still use my fifth injector but I control it using and extra injector controller http://www.034efi.com/034SupECU.html this way it runs seperate from the factory ecu and there is no connection between the two, so under normal driving with no boost the ecu runs the car as normal. Under boost I'm currently using a single 85lb per hour injector to supply the extra fuel needed and the ecu has no control over it at all so it can't lean it out. I had the same problem as you when I ran the unichip, the unichip uses a built in map sensor to both modify the maf readings as well as controlling the fifth injector. Ever since I started using the extra injector controller to keep my boost fuel control seperate from the stock ecu my car has been runnig great and very smooth, I'm currently running 14lbs of boost and holding a steady 12.6-12.3 AF ratio under wide open throttle all the way to redline. I have had no problems at all with my alpine kit ever since I eliminated the unichip, I think most problems people have with the alpine kit revolve around the unichip and people screwing up the install becaus my car pulls very hard and if anyone around me wants a ride let me know and I'll show you.
i will be adding a new (factory) alternator and a new optimum battery tonight... in addition i will gap my plugs to see if anything changes... if not, i assume i will try the other computer system (EFI)....
if still no change, speed-factor, (possibly) here i come

maxx would you highly, highly recomond this product..... nothing else has worked, so i am hoping this is the missing link.... obviously you liked it, which is why you posted it, but i am a bit skeptical becuase NOTHING else has worked....
seriously, thanks to everyone who has helped with info and advice.... the car is just so close, but not quite there yet
