Just to let you know Blizaga, if you want to go with an internal wastegate, I have one sitting around from my super 60. I can let you have it for 20 bucks or something if you want to go internally gated.

BTW... I'd also look at a 190lph or 255lph fuel pump and an aem fpr.

It was, but in the for sale thread the seller said that he disgaurded the internal gate and turned to an external one lol fing02.gif

i would get a manifold from tim, not one of those obx ones.. i have heard about fitment problems with an internal gate.

tims log style manifold puts the turbo farther away from the alternator which is good, and angled out to make more room from the block..

its higher quality than the SSA manifold also.

for mild boost, i would internally gate your turbo also, makes for less of a headache of having to get a flange welded on the manifold for the external gate, then making a dump for it..

IM me with any questions you may have.. maybe we can meet up, you can take a ride in my tib to say if the power is enough for ya, cuz just throwing numbers out there, no one really knows what they want until they are in a car with that certain power.

^^ For sure Nate. Will I be able to go internally waste gated again since he replaced the bearings and the comp. housing?

yeah, that has no effect on the int gate. it bolts on to the exhaust housing..

i would definately get the internal gate though, and a manifold from tim..

How much are Tim's manifolds? And I am going to email the guy I bought the turbo from right now and see if he still has the old gate.

well, tims manifolds will vary, but the one i am doing right now, would be 375$ shipped from me, and they would be coated with a ceramic based paint good to 2000 degrees F, in silver, red, blue, or black.

i mean its almost 2X the price of the OBX but heres the difference: OBX, need to reweld to reinforce it all, wont work with internal gate (or barely), sits closer to alternator, thinner steel. Tims manifold, AWESOME welds (i have two examples) will work easy with internal gate, sits about 2.5" further from alternator, thick gauge stainless steel, no re welding or reinforcing required.

my "tim's" manifold needed rewelding due to exhaust gas leak from the turbo side flange area. nana.gif

ouch, you got a "sorry I was drunk that night" manifold.

BlizagaXx, have you read up on installing turbochargers. Understand every aspect of the system so you can make an educated decision on what you WANT and HOW you want your system to run. You will be much more satisfied than if you just "go with what was cheap on eBay"

maybe you really want an NGM supercharger w/ icebox intake manifold (I bet you can install that one yourself).
