Well, buying the turbo was kind of spur of the moment, I have read a ton about turbo chargers, and I have also gone over the official turbo shopping list, so the OBX mani wasn't exactly the cheapest thing I found, just what I have heard of and it wasn't $700+ like the Maintecs. Now that I have heard of Tim's manifolds, he may be getting a customer soon. I wasn't aware of the OBX having a problem with mounting with an internal waste gate, hopefully Tim's will be gate friendly and not a hangover job, lol. Good News though!! Ships on Monday!!

I have some manifolds sitting around my parents house. One has a flange for a T3 and another has one for a DSM style turbo I was going to use on my Tib.
One has a flange on it for an external gate, I can't remember which though and I would be home for a few more weeks to check but once I do I'll let it go fairly cheap, both were made by Tim and one is mild steel and the other is regular. Again I can't remember which are which I'll have to look when I get home.

Ah AH! found the thread I originally posted trying to sell them about two years ago lol... anyways price is the same as in the thread as that is alot cheaper than what I got them for...

I might be hittin you up on that Dweet. What kind of external waste gate should I get for this turbo, and where do I get one at? Are they all the same or for specific application? I went to eBay and typed in like 'T3 Wastegate' 'T3 External Wastegate' 'Super 60 Wastegate' Where do I find one?

Well, it's a Garrett T3 super 60 charger, I might buy a 'Tims' manifold off of Dweet, so will this gate work for me? If so, linkage xxx!!

And I asked about the internal gate, he said the turbo spooled so fast that with the internal waste gate he was getting like 4lb boost spikes... No good... Maybe it was because the bearings were changed who knows, but I need an external. I can't wait guys! And SOCKS, I might take you up on your offer. We shall see what happens bud!

Can anyone help me find an external wastegate to fit this turbo? I don't know which one to go with. I went on eBay and searched external wastegate and only like 14 things came up, so I must be doing something wrong... Thanks guys!

tial 38mm will be a good one to use. they go for about 200 or so with whatever spring you want in them. theres one for sale locally also for 160 in northern IL. Theres a silver and a blue brand new both with 1 bar springs (14.7 lbs.)
