Well I have to say that I searched the old topics for my answers and some posts touched on what I am bout to ask, but they didn't fully answer the questions.

I will be the first to say that I know nothing about tuning with the SMT6. So this leads to my question of what a reasonable dyno price for tuning at 12-14 psi should be with 525cc injectors (keep in mind that the dyno shop will have to start from scratch.) I just dont want to get ripped off.

Also, I read somewhere a while back that it would be safe to run 5 psi without tuning. ( I would only do this to drive to the dyno shop) I tried searching for the post today, but I could not find it. Just wanted to verify to see if this is true.

BTW..could anybody tell me what you would recommend as the highest boost to run as a daily driver with tigerlily 8.5:1 comp pistons with upgraded injectors, fuel pump, and fp reg.?

Tuning will depend on the amount of time it takes man. Go to a place with some experience for SURE, it'll be cheaper in the long run.

As for 5PSI, I belive you can run at least 7 or 8 without any major help.

yah ive been running 5 pounds of boost for a while with no tune, and ive gone up to 6 without leaning out too much, anything over 6 makes the trim to lean and the car lose power.

5 pounds takes me to 14:1 at its leanest point..

6 pounds goes more like 14.8-15:1, which doesnt give me any noticible power loss and i know theres no detonation, but i just dont trust it.

I had it at 7-8 on accident (damn autometer) and it jumped up to 16.5-17:1 and you felt a 20-30whp power loss, then of course i lowered the boost.

Bryan (viper966) said his last tuning session on a multi load mustang dyno cost $300 as i recall.
