What is the rest of your set-up? do you have a post somewhere detailing your turbo install or something? I'm determined to stick single rail.

Would a single rail setup be fine for a high modded N.A Tib or one with large shot ofN20?

Before I installed my turbo setup, I was thinking that i was going NOT to get a dual rail setup because i thought it was not worth the money, and also i thought i could get away with the fuel and ECU problems with a single rail setup.
After a lot of research and readings, I found the single rail setup had limitations or great difficulties when it comes to tuning with SMT6 because our ECU would fight and learn around the SMT6 values.
Even if you decide to go with a single rail setup, you will probably spend money almost same as dual rail setup costs when you try to fix the problems with the single rail setup.

I'm running single rail around 8psi with an smt6. Its going pretty well, and I'm sure it will go even better once I relocate my maf to after the bov.

I know it must be easier if that is what the majority are doing, but I just dont like the way the dual rails look. I have Been around REDZ to much and his rice-ology is rubing off on me.

Not to mention you've had enough trouble with ONE fuel rail already.

LOL

And for the rest of you, a healthy f*** OFF is in order.

I never said the duals were rice, or inefficent, and ABQElantra didn't say so either. He said that he hangs around me enough that he also feels it's too crowded back there with dualies.

I've said so for some time, I do NOT want aluminum engine mounts, and I do not want my IM hitting my firewall. BOTH are problems that folks are having to do with these. My airram hits my firewall now, why the hell would I want it closer?

Now, I'm sure Ijust offended half the folks here, but get your eyes checked, and read the words for what they are and don't make shit up.

stock mounts filled with urethane (window weld) does the trick
never had one banging on the firewall yet,and it's not because we didn't try ;-)

I've got single rail. I'm pushing 10 psi now. If I go past that I start running out of fuel. (at least thats what I think it is). I've been meaning to make a thread on it.

Anyways it works ok, I plan to do something different eventually. Either dual rail or if something better comes along first (ecu reflash, etc.).

For instance. I worked with it for ~an hour the other day and got it hitting 12.3 when I hit full boost. A couple short trips later and it's running 13.5....

I'm going to be putting in the yaya mounts, but others, like SOCKS, had to use aluminum inserts. His airram was hitting the firewall with the filled mounts, AND his turbo was hitting his radiator.

Have you guys heard of the SCT system?

http://www.sctlivewire.com/lwmain.php

http://www.sctflash.com/

There's a local tuner/dyno shop here that is certified in this.

might be more rlated on how he installed is idle motor,if he put it behind the air ram it will hit the firewal,
but i install them under the air ram, cleaner and more space

for the SCT tuner, so far i think it's only for american made car for now,
but it does work nicely on mustangs

whoever thinks a dual rail is rice obviously doe's not understand our cars well enough, even if your a new member or an administrator.

Jay,

I would assume by this post Redz thinks the dual rail is either rice, inefficient, or I could be completely wrong.

No one said the dual rails were rice! I simply stated I dont like the look of the dual set up, and would prefer a single rail.

The money is not the issue if I have to spend the money on standalone to get what I want then fine. I know trying to save money when boosting is a bad idea, but by the same coin if I can easily run single rail with smt6 it will deffinately keep some green in my pocket. Now i know i can't.

I am only asking questions to make sure I do this right. If I can't run a single rail with the smt6 than the smt6 is not the way for me to tune.

What if you were to run only the smt6 injector harness and throw resistors in or whatever you need to trick the stock harness. I am not sure if this is completely crazy or worth a shot hence the reason I pose the question to those of you who have and run the smt6.
