Black2002GT already has a cage in the Tib he bought. The "SCCA" one. I saw it, and it's nice!

That's an awesome mount for that Haltech and DIS box. fing02.gif

since i am in school, i get the materials at cost so i will be doing an 8 point chromoly cage that will be nhra legal. it will be a lot of fun to actually learn how to construct roll cages and stuff.

the instructor for the class has built quite a few funny cars and top fuel dragsters so i am really excited to learn from a real pro and not some toothless redneck in a shed... no offence to other floridians or anything.

after 3 long years the car is finally alive. it actually started and ran the other day. now all that needs to be done is re-fab the hotside innercooler pipe and fix the end tank that i broke.

here are some updated pics of the individual coils and the new tach.

Good to see the project is moving along at a faster pace...

I read awhile back that you have upgraded axles? Gator built them for you? I contacted them today and told me they don't due Tiburon's and are not interested in building a custom set mad.gif

What axles are you using?

yea, gator was a total dick. he got all excited to make my axles because we were gonna do the honda style and have an intermediate shaft and then 2 equal length axles instead of the one long and one short axle.

after a whole bunch of trash talking out of the side of his neck, i just said screw him and went with the drive shaft shop in new york. they don't advertise hyundai on their site but i sent them my original axles and they made me some real beefy axles so they should still have the stock axles i sent them so try and contact them and see if they can make you some without having to send in your original ones.

i paid $700 for a stage 3 set up that is suppose to handle up to 600whp. i doubt the tranny can handle that but at least i shouldn't snap an axle.

here are some updated pics. we got all the coils wired in and shortened the pug wires so it is a coil on plug system now.

in this picture you can see a crappy bracket that i fooled around with to relocate the alternator away from the down pipe. we are re-vamping the turbo manifold so the turbo will be on top and the downpipe will go to the driver side instead of the passenger side so i can put the alternator in the stock location.

this one you can see where the end tank of the FMIC broke off when i off loaded it from the trailer when i got to california. i hate tow dollies.

here is a rough of my fuel sump. we are going to fabricate a pipe to go into and through the car so the fuel lines will go through the pipe instead of being under the car where they could get hurt.

here is a crappy picture of my fuel pump and filter. the bracket is rusted a little so we are making a new one out of aluminum so it will look better soon.
