I am currently running a t3/t4, It started leaking through the seals and out the exhaust real bad and realistically, I am looking to run no more than 300whp, if so. I know that with this turbo, it's good for about 450, 500whp. Obviously i'm not looking to run anything near that. So i'm looking for a turbo with a little bit quicker spool time and will get me to 300. What do you guys think of the t3 all around. Internaly wasted to avoid the extra piece of pipe for the extarnal waste gate and clear up some room in the engine bay. Thanks guys.

 

well i heard that a t3 super 60 spools pretty quickly ive never been in a turboed tib to tell you exactly how it feels though

maybe a t28?

 

what about a dsm 16g? 14b? t25 even?

All dsm turbos uses a different exhaust flange than a T3, making them unpractical to use with most available manifolds.

You have LOT'S of choice in "T3-flanged" turbos; a T3 .48/.60 turbo will make 300hp and spools pretty quick. That's what I'm using, and I should be at full boost at around 3400-4000rpm.

A "big" T28 is almost identical to a .48/.60 turbo, but they use a T25 exhaust flange.

 

I second that! Get a GT28 by garret! Will spool about 500-1000rpms quicker and will hold enough power smile.gif

 

what about ball bearing turbos? I think it's GTR Garrett series.

 

^a GT28 turbo would be a ball-bearing turbo. "GTXX" denotes a BB turbo.
