Hook up your pvc the right way, it seems to me that you must be pushing boost pressure into the crankase one way or another since it only seems to happen when you boost, where is your breather hose hooked to is there ant way you could be pushing pressure into it when you boost. I have seen this happen before on a few cars, people will hook up the pvc and breather lines wrong and push boost into the crankcase causing the oil to blow out anywhere it can.

^^ You do have one of the breathers hooked up to the IM don't you Super?

Just run both open and see if it helps things out if you can't get to compression gauge that fast.

/\ He has stated several times in this thread that the lines are just going to the ground, they are not hooked up to anything.

But it could have been the combo of overfilled backing up a hill and hitting boost, along with the engine having blowby. No matter how you look at it the engine has some blowby.

Yes, you have bad compression in at least one of the cylinders. Do a test.

Hooking up one of the hoses to your IM will releave it only slightly. You'll still get oil everywhere.

You can get that much oil everywhere either from the PCV valve being open, or from the dipstick popping out. More will come out of the dipstick tube though. You can try taping/gluing it in as a temporary fix, and hooking up the PCV tubes to a catch can. (like you should have done anyways)

Since you're not boosting that much, you have been running on a bad tune. SAFC maybe?

Fill in your Garage profile so we know your setup a little more.

Hard to tell via pics, I was just making sure about how he had the two different lines hooked up, and he wasn't just venting the one that previously ran to the TB elbow (the one that doesn't do much to begin with).

I think hes just running a FMU, not sure....

As members here have been having lots of problems with the PCV, I'm trying to make sure its not the problem.

smt-6 with 440cc injectors.

I think it might be going a little lean in upper gears and have a new aem uego that I'm planning on using to help out with the tuning. I also got a begi fpr from maeir to help with fuel pressure. I had it running at about 8-9 but it kept hitting 14s under boost so I lowered it back down to it's current 6-7. It's running pretty good right now, the cold weather had kinda thrown it off a bit though.

supercow,

are you still using the car right now? have you noticed any changes with your engine?

as a few have mentioned, it's a blow by and the pistong rings are weak or getting there that you need to do a compression check and see how bad it is

eitherway, take it easy on boost now and think about replacing the rings or even working on the engine in the near future

as for the pcv, install it back or get a new one and hook it back to the IM. i believe that it needs to see vacuum in order for it to work properly 100%.

a good working clean pcv valve can resist boost, so you dont have to worry

did the compression check!

1-210
2-210
3-210
4-220

I cranked it for about 5-6 seconds until the guage didn't move and let it settle. wink1.gif I pretty much expected that since I've pampered the motor with good oil and filters for most of it's life. And alot of highway miles, it's at 95k. boosted for ~15k

no way.. thats friggin nuts.. thats like super good compression.. mine is at like 205 across the board.. i would say its something with the way the pcv/breather system is working, or not working for that matter..
