Default Re: How I spent my Weekend Vacation (part 2)

I installed 30 LB/315CC injectors. I am runing 6 psi of boost. Now with fuel pressure at 45 Psi with vacum line connecctted and safc high maps at +40. I am not getting enough fuel.

As soon as i go full throttle air/fuel ratio goes to 10 and as soon as boost in effect air/fuel goes down to 14-15.

How far up in fuel pressure should I go with these injectors to help me from leaning out?

what turbo are you running because 315cc injectors are big. And someone used the hyundai 290cc injectors to put out 250whp which I seriously doubt you are putting down with 6 psi. I think you need to get your S-AFC tuned from a shop

damn man...i'm running the same turbo and i run RICH!... stock injectors... sounds like you need to dyno tune the afsc...or atleast wideband O2 tune it.,...what fuel pump you running? mines stock...

just out of curiosity
what year and model injectors are you using out of a mustang

and are they a direct bolt on? Or are there mods. that have to be done fuel rail etc.

they are a bosch inecotrs same as the ones that came with my speed-factor kit but just smaller.

well I reset the ecu set the fuel pressure at 45 psi and set safc high maps all at 0%. Got on the highway drove "full throttle" and my air/fuel ratio was a nice 12.2 right to redline. Rich in low rpms now but when in boost 12.2

Got off the highway did some partial throttle driving then tried to go back to full throttle and car just kept on getting leaner and leaner. So i tried adding fuel via the safc tried plus 30%, 35, 40 etc. Maid nodifference!!!

So i said well maybe it is the safc wired wrong so i checked the safc wiring for the 5 th time and all wiring is 100% correct.

So now i am thinking maybe the safc is faulty.

I dunno does anybody else have any suggestions?

Seems like the problem could also be when i am in vac not boosting. could this be a possible, but what would cause problems during vacum?

Please Help

Did you use some good quality tubing for your hoses? Some of the stuff out there is very thin and collapses easily under suction.

yeah that crap you buy from lowes...NO GOOD... trust me I KNOW...lol lol.gif the toughest stuff i found is this white tubing...can't crush it.... but doesn't bend so great...it's refrigerator ice machine line...used for sending water to the ice machine...
