with the shorter gearing of the X3 tranny... the beta engine is going to fly to redline.. should be a fun project. And quick too!

Probably should keep the Tibby tranny... gearing might be too short for something ~200whp.

I think I'll need to get beta tranny simply because I'm gonna go over 200whp.

i'd use a 1998/99 car to begin with
with a 95/97 car you can't use the 1.5 tranny motor mount are not in the right spot,it can be done by changing the transmission to a later (or tibby)one and changing other mounts but still simplier with a 98/99 car
in y case i have the beta transmission andi like this "set up" longuer gearing should be better for a F/I set up too

BTW if using an accent tranny the stock tibby clutch can't be use (alpha = push type, tibby = pull type)

Well the younger the car the more money I'm gonna spend on it and I think it would be simpler to just get the car to a welder to get that mount welded on.

I'm hoping to pick up one for under $500, put a beta1 motor, tibby tranny and axels.

Another question. Do x3's have return fuel system like tibbies?

DEniss, IM me when you can a chance. I wanna talk to you man.

X3 have the same fuel system then the tibby,
fuel pump is the same unit also

actually, i could send you pre-made motor mounts (the ones that needs modification) this would make your swap much easier

That would be awesome man.

Will those new mounts just weld on and will hold tranny like it should be?

yup,i tought i was clear enough ;-) (nothing harsh here)

if you need info just PM me,
it's not a hard to do swap, but like i said, swap is easier on the 98/99 models
for the 95/97 a few other parts are required

BTW 95 are the worst..
the car isn't OBD2 while all beta are obd2

even in N/A mode this should make you a very fun litle car, just keep the sleeper theme and blow away a few mustang/camaro ;-)
