No. It depends what your car needs. Do what you need to tune it properly, FPR, FMU, ECM, whatever. Don't just throw money away so you can say you did xyz to your car. Tune it. Or break ring lands on your pistons if you insist, THEN tune it.

stock regulator works fine for pump under 190 lph,can be made to work with larger pump, but you'll need to cheat down the maf output to compensate for the increased fuel pressure at idle

btw, single, dual or triple fuel rails don't matter a regulator creates a leak in the fuel system.. so no matter where it`s installed it will regulate pressure
just look at the beta2 and lots of newer cars, the regulator is inside the fuel tank..
