Do you have a different AIT sensor plugged into the stock wiring?

careful.... those heat shields are bad for our headers. I've used one already (not header wrap, but a full metal heat shield) and it caused the headers to glow even under light load conditions. This effect was the same as the header wrap. This heat load will cause your headers to crack at the welds much faster. Your better off allowing the heat to dissipate without the heat shield, just keep your intake and pressure piping away from the heat sources, or just use thermal reflective wrap on pressure pipes.

^^Thanks for the heads up man. Will definitely keep an eye on it. So far, I have not noticed any "glowing" under the heat shield, and the welds seem to be holding up just fine. We pushed the car pretty hard on the dyno the other day. Temps in the Dyno at the end of the session were around 112!!! Shitty day to tune, but we needed to get some things done and had no choice.

Nope, its the stock AIT. We took some of the charge piping, took a rubber mallet and gently tapped a flat surface for the AIT to sit. We also sealed around the rubber base of the sensor with some black silicone rubber gasket sealant and so far have noticed no leaks. Seems to be working great. It is definitely a place I will have to keep my eye on as well to make sure I dont get any boost leaks there in the future. But so far everything is all smiles!!!

sorry peeps, no boost numbers yet. the trip at the dyno was a bit of a dissapointment because my wastegate crapped out on us and I only had about 0.5 PSI of boost. Cool thing is I made 130 WHP! Ended up being a good day to just see what the car was doing under no boost conditions. My tuner had microphones all over the engine listening for knock. Seems at least my car is knock prone under 2800 RPM and starts to get very knock prone at around 5900 RPM. We saw a huge spike in volumetric efficiency around 3000 up to around 5500. The car really liked to run in that range. Might possibly be do to the AIRRAM I have installed. (I dont care what other people say, I love that thing!!!)

So, next session I will show my actual numbers. cool.gif

Where's the thread on this Haltech? That harness looks awesome! You said he is making those available for everyone? It wasn't just a one time thing for you?

Anyway, turbo setup looks sweet!! Can't wait for the next dyno run..

Zoned- The thread is not up quite yet. I want to have a completely tuned dynoed car running in good order before I completely endorse this product. My friend knows this and agrees as well. To be very honest....EVERYTHING is perfect as far as the harness goes!! We actually found one minor mistake in the ECU pinout from webtech just the other day with the crank position sensor. I truely think all the R&D is over and we can actually say we have a working full fledged alpha product on my car and the first one sold to a lucky member here will have the first fully functional Beta harness!!

(huh-huh, I said "BETA") LOL!!!! beavis.gif

Its actually pretty exciting I think! Really, its just me being anal and wanting this to be a great product for the community with the FIRST unit sold, not 5 down the line like some of the products that have come up in the past. Be patient. When we finally do a sales thread for the harness, we will have at least two in stock and one on hand so the turn around will be quick and painless.

^^agreed! If it's not pristine when you bring it to the BBQ I'll have a toothbrush and engine degreaser, only because I want to take a full photo shoot of your engine bay.

I may think about switching over to the E8 with his harness. If I do, and it works well, then I'll swap in my fully built motor and be able to finally put down 500+whp.

Try to get some kind of pricing on it, and MORE info on the ignitor setup.
