Default My Tiburon is finally turbo!.... but....

Yes!.... finally after a month and a half of waiting my turbo was repair completely.......

Repair, maybe that´s the problem.....but now when I press the gas and the rpms get around 3500 rpms make a sound... like a suuuuiiiiiiiiioooo, but if I press the gas to the bottom it doesnt make the sound..... and that is the only way the turbo response and make 5 psi....... other way is like it doesnt be there........ does not make power.......

anyone maybe has an idea of what could be ???

this week i will be driving like a new engine.... no more runs until a few hundreds of miles ( if I can resist ) and maybe after this the sound will disappear... I hope

thanks......

Your english owns me... I can't understand any of it, but I'll try.

Are you running 5PSI max boost? Your not going to make much power not on full throttle since your running such low boost. Can your boost gauge read lower than 5PSI?

Either way, more info would be nice. What is the exact turbo setup your running?

Yes, you can..all you have to do is get the correct manifold to match up with it. If it came from a 2nd gen eclipse...it is a t25. Not hard to find a manifold for that.

Sharkev, does that sound sound like a leak, or is it a metal on metal sound. I don't know what "suuuuiiiiiiiooooooo" sounds like. In all honesty it sound like an excerpt from a kung-fu movie.

If it's a leaking sound, like air escaping, I would check all hoses and connections to make sure there is no boost leak. Get a friend or someone to maybe rev your engine a little while you listen under the hood, as it could be only under boost that the problem happens.

If it is metal to metal......... you're in trouble. Take it back to the guy that "fixed" it.

And OT I know, but I will be running the TD05H 14B turbine on my 2.0L very shortly. I bought Dweet's little setup.
