Hello asking about megasquirt i see. I have not proven it to work 100% but all looks well The megasquirt is a full 100% standalone capable of running any motor with the right pick up for the ignition and fuel timing. Our 60-2 wheel is supported with MSNSe so it can be done just make sure you know what you are looking for and read on the MS forums. The ms isnt perfect but will make for a good build it yourself cheep standalone.

JGTR-
Why not use coils with built in ignitors? Leading Coil Packs off RX7 Turbo's have the ignitor in them (trailing packs do not). That way any Aftermarket ignition system should be able to fire them

Or, buy a Haltech or Motec Ignitor (not cheap) and wire it in. There's only 7-8 wires, so you should be able to use them with a signal from any aftermarket ECU.

The RX7 packs are what I was gonna look into next. Just needed to call around for pricing. If I can't get them locally, then I'll shell out the $124 for the Haltech ignitors. That's not a bad deal either way.

Thanks Random and Viper.

edit: Something that Red was gonna do a write up on but never did, was how to wire up an RX-7 Turbo II trailing ignitor to our stock coil packs. Wish he didn't drop off the face of the Hyundai planet before doing so. 02.gif

I am glad to see you guys have discovered the megasquirt. It is a pretty great little system.. provided you are handy enough to build it.
