Okay so I have an evo 8 turbo assembly that I am looking to install. I have all the parts needed for it. I have gone to 2 shops,
but they were thinking more of just custom making the manifold, but that would cost way too much. They redirected me to take it to be
bolt-matched and port-matched at an auto machine shop, but everyone that I have been to doesn't do anything but engine internals.
Does anyone know of a shop that would do this? I'm in Columbia, SC.
I really don't know what else to do with it, but I'd rather take it to a shop and install it myself than pay close to $500 for a custom one.
Damn, I definitely meant to make this a reply on my other thread. Oops.

I figured I could do it myself easily but I don't have $200 to spend on an electric die grinder just to get one piece to fit.
Not really a tool that I will need anytime in the future. I'm a college kid, so all my tools are 100 miles away.
Would I really be able to cut through the think flange steel with this? I have to cut through it one bolt that beta decides to lower....a lot.
Random bolt placement. lol. Anyways, I thought I would need a drill press for this?
So I found this one though, http://www.amazon.com/Pcs-Electric-Die-Gri...t/dp/B000RL8AMM
Seems really cheap, but do you think this would work well enough?

If he's willing to do it that would be great. It will probably take me about to 2/3 weeks till I get the rest of the parts.
Also, I don't really want to have to ship it off. Especially internationally. If that's what I need to do then I guess I don't
really have a choice though. I think I might try and do this myself. Hopefully I can get somewhere

I could do it for you, but it might be cheaper (shipping wise) to find a local place
it could be done wit ha small electric grinder like your link but it will lots of time
do you have acces or know someone working in a shop that has an air compressor?

I wish. My dad used to have one, but sold it actually just recently. I have a dremel back at home.
At one point I was using a cheap wal-mart dremel and I could barely bore out the gaskets. Eventually
just took some tin snips to take out a certain section.
I bet I can find at least one person locally with one that they can let me borrow. I'm pretty sure I know
someone who does. Wow and the shipping would cost me at least $25 one-way, and that would take 6-10 days.

Well, PA is not much closer than Quebec.
I'm going to make another attempt this weekend with it, if I can't get it I'll probably send it out. I might also just get a new/better one.
