Maf .... Before Or After Turbo

Here is a pic I found of Summers turbo tib. ( it is a pic of a magazine) The maf is after the turbo.



Here is mine. The maf is before the turbo.





Which is right and why. Any negative effects from the after turbo mounting

summers is right ,yours is ok but your ecu wont compensate for how much air is coming into your manifold. It just knows how much is coming through your filter. Plus where you have it its turbulant air not steady air and it will cause wrong readings through your maf.

there is more air being pushed behind your turbo so your maf needs to know how much is actually getting into the engine move your maf back. your car will go faster or even run better.

no negative effects, possitive effects fing02.gif

my opinion i know how maf's work im just a newb with turbo's so i might be wrong just tryin to help though. cool.gif

actually no.. u want it before the turbo...

summers car wasnt a driver so whatever for her

but seriously before the turbo is the only way to avoid hot turbo air damaging the maf
