Ok... It just pass 1 and a half week after the installation of my Turbo.... and I'm very angry with all of you.... Thats because nobody told me that the PSI are sooooo addictive... lmao.gif lmao.gif or maybe you did... I have to do a search.... joke.gif

Ok... My Tib is running find, just problems with the fuel..... But first I want to say some advices to all who have new projects...

1. Keep at least US$500.00 at the moment for the installation. Thats because you will have to change (and its better to do) several internal parts of the engine... like timing belts, damage valves, ball bearings, etc....

2. You have to be prepared that your Tibby will be at least 1 week. It doesn't matter how proffesional and experienced your mechanic say he is...

3. Keep always a plan B for all the fittings, hoses and lines, specially if you are doing a "home made Turbo Kit".

4. Try to get ready the DYNO appointment at hand.... You don't want to use you car without tunned on the city....

5. If you are buying silicone couplers and reducers, don't choose the cheap option... use reinforcered with T-Bolts clamps. Thighten them as hard as need it...

6. Try to get a cooling solution..... you car will need it...

7. Save some money and get all the parts to get installed at the same time...

8. Please, get a Turbo Timer....

9. Would be a good idea to get a boost controller. You don't want to put 7 or 8 PSI on brand new Pistons... or rods...

10. Remember that you will need good brakes....

Know.... I need some help.... 2UNIQ is helping me on my problem, but more brains can found an answer faster. Last Saturday I change my Fuel Injectors and my FPR. The new ones are 42Lbs and a OBX FRP Boost dependant.... When I turned on the engine... it was choking.... too much fuel, even the injectors get wet... Using a correction given by 2UNIQ, my car finally turn on... I put my SAFC2 at 30% low throthle and -45% all across at low Throthle. and goes up as boosting over 3500RPM on High Throthle (set at 70%). With this, my exhaust was sending out a lot of black smoke.... I lower to -50%.... and change my FPR to 30 PSI on idle. it really helps, but it still running really rich.... If I turn the car off and turn on on less than 30 minutes, you will see more black smoke from my exhaust... and the RPMs goes as low as 550 or 600 RPMS.... too much fuel on the cylinder.... If I wait more than 30 minutes, it start nearly normal.... but still smelling the fuel....

My Air/Fuel gauge use a second O2 sensor that I installed (just to see a normal reading to not interfere the OEM one)

My setup is:

8.5:1 Tigerlily low comp. pistons
SACF2
MSD DIS2 part 6211
OBX FPR boost dependant
42Lb's racetronix injectors
Garret T3 .48/.60 internal wastegate (with a manual boost controller)
FMIC
BOV
SSA Turbo Manifold (I made a stainless steel support for it)
10mm Double Silicone Sparkplugs Wires
Walbro 255L fuel pump (not installed yet until fixing my fuel problems)
XTD Stage3 6Pucks racing clutch

Right know boosting 10PSI....

I'm not using the 255l Walbro Fuel pump, because I don't need it right know... the damm car has too much fuel.... never is showing lean the A/F gauge...

Know, anyone has an idea to help me on this situation????

BTW: confirmed. stock fuel supply is capable to running 7PSI max.... DON'T TRY MORE drillsergeant.gif

Good to see another happy boosted tib owner!
You might want to try and drop the base fuel pressure even more, but then you run into the problem of the injector spray pattern going funny.

Well, at least we stated all the things you've numbered before. Glad to see maybe my advice helped ya out. But c'mon, a turbo timer? Your a lazy bum to not let the car sit for 30 seconds at idle before turning it off yourself. lmao.gif

As for fueling, knock down the fuel pressure a lil more, see if it helps. There's only so much a piggyback can do on a non-turbo ECU though, as we've said. The 42 pounders might have been overkill.

Ummmm....How do you know if your car is running rich? You never mentined having a wideband sensor. If you're gonna tune it yourself then get one!

People here can only guess.

^^True dat. It's probably why I have low compression right now. The fule washes down the oil on the walls.
