This whole thread blows my mind.

Did you just wake up one morning and said...."I can change my oil and sparkplugs, I think I can tackle bolting on a turbo. OKAY. HERE I GO. Oh sh*t car runs like crap, time to hit the forums"

You think that's harsh? It's a reality check. I really could care less what you do to your car, it's your business but if you actually want this car to not get junked tomorrow, were you even thinking when you decided to do this?

You are in over your head. UNINSTALL everything, go back to stock and learn in steps. If you just want to drive a faster car without spending time to learn anything or get your hands dirty go buy a faster car or send your car to a reputable shop that can build it and tune it but be prepared to spend 4-5k for everything.

Hopefully this isn't your DD. The way I see it you have 4 choices:

1. Uninstall everything, go back to stock and progressively learn.
2. Sell the car, buy a faster car and leave it alone
3. Take the car to a shop and have them do all the work.
4. Keep driving it until you shoot a piston through the hood.

I'd have said through 'the side of the engine block' vs. 'the hood', as the cylinder head is in the way, but otherwise ^ what tanc said.

You are trying to put your toe in the water after jumping in over your head. This is how you blow up your engine. The reason they charge $100/hr for labor and $175/hr for dyno tuning is that the skill set is highly specialized and not easy to develop. You CAN slap a turbo on your car with no additional work done. CAN is not the same as SHOULD.

Everyone starts at total ignorance. It's up to you if you stay there.

Stocker I really don't understand what you and tanc are talking about isn't there people in here with turbo with stock internals?

My turbo has been installed by a performance shop he have installed many turbo for many cars, I'm not driving my car everyday its just sitting at the parking lot.

I'm still waiting for my 460cc injectors and 255 lph fuel pump that I already ordered and now I just need a standalone, piggyback, or an ecu upgrade to complete it, why you both saying I will blow my engine?

My Mechanic is just not specialize in Hyuandai cars that's why he doesn't know what's out there for my car which is fuel tuning devices available and that's what I want to find on here.

What they're saying has some truth to it. If your main intention was to buy everything and PAY to have it installed/tuned professionally then great, get-r-done.

Yes, i believe everyone on here besides a select few is boosting on a stock lower. What they're saying is if your tune is bad (or non-existent) even at 5psi, you WILL detonate a piston(s) and then your motors toast (mmm toast).

I think the main point that they haven't seen is that your having everything installed professionally. In your first post it does state that "I" installed my turbo recently" which obviously makes it seem like YOUR doing it yourself.

Many on the forum are not huge fans of spoon feeding and prefer you re(search^) before posting commonsense questions on a topic such as turbocharging. That's where the flaming is coming from.

The FIC you want is the universal one which is 30-1910, it will need to be made into a pnp harness or he will have to tap the wires(which will be cheaper).

Edit* I know there's a wiring diagram on this site somewhere, couldn't find it so i stole this one from Nate, print it out and bring it to whoever is installing it.

His "professional" shop that has done his set up wouldn't let him driving it without fuel management like he has. There's nothing hyundai specific when it comes to that, it's universal. It's not like your asking them to build your head.

And if you don't seem to understand what I posted earlier you may be more far gone then I thought. GL. I'm willing to try and help you but your ignorance has got the best of you.

great

now what fuel pressure regulator did you buy? what size hose do you plan on running to that regulator? did you order the fittings and adapters for the hoses? how do you plan on installing it? are you gonna tap the rail? where are you going to get the vacuum source? what idle fuel pressure is recommended for your injectors? which impedance is your injectors? what clips does it use? are you going to have to solder them in?

i can go all day with questions that you have to know the answer to
