Quick question,

I got the UFB cast pistons from S. Africa with the compression ratio of 8.0:1

I also happen to get the pauter forged rods at the same time.

Now would this setup be able to run 15psi reliably?
15psi... im guessing thats around 250whp-300
yea... but your at your limit

The UFB Pistons will be safe to run 15PSI without any problems as what Chris has mentioned to me.Since you ordered the 8:1 ratio Pistons you can run 20PSI with NO PROBLEMS providing you have the Fuel and proper mixture to accomidate the power.
If im not mistaken i believe Chris coates the Pistons which makes them stronger,Im not sure what its called but what this coating does is Disperses the heat away BUT it doesnt make the Piston stronger.
This is also good to do to your Cylinder head since it is being removed. This is what im going to do to my Cylinder head once i install the Pistons?

But what about the connecting rods. wink I doubt they'll hold 20psi for long.

Stock rods are reportedly good for 300+ wheel horsepower.

Remember Onpol's dyno charts? He's using a set of Ross 8:1 pistons and STOCK rods on his setup. At least one of his runs was into the 350WHP category, so that should tell you a bit more.
