Info on Turbo??
Ok, i'm hearin alot of talk about a turbo for a 2.0 Tib. Can anyone give me some info on price in canadian where i can get it and some first hand accouts on reliability and possible engine damage. I can't be rebuilding my engine every 10,000 or 1,000 km, I want it for an everday driver.

Well, the turbo unit itself is good, the KIT as it comes from Alpine is good. They just did a Schlocky as hell install job that I'm still fixing/sorting out.
Alpine turbo is $1900 till mid-end august, at which point it jumps up to $2700.
Otherwise you are looking at building one yourself al-la RED's MAD BOOST system, or something a tad more sane.
I highly reccomend you read and research the subject of Turbocharging at your local library before you jump into this though. It will help you pick the right components, upgrades and diagnose problems.

Turbo is like a fragile glass of champagne!!If you look after it no problem!If you use it like a normal glass it will break!!!Like mine did.But sure it worths the money and your car will sure fly.Turboman(The first one in team sr with turbo kit!!!) sad.gif smile.gif sad.gif smile.gif
