Default ignition timing

i think this is the right forum. i was reading a previous post where red was saying that someone needed to run advanced timing when running boost. i thought that when you have boost, you need to retard the timing to prevent knock?

Um, you didnt' see me say advanced timing. You always retard timing when running bigger-than-stock horsepower numbers on a stock motor.

MSD DIS2 unit with the optional Nitrous or Boost Timing Module is what would do this.
