Hey guys, gals, I hope this is in the right forum. I was just wondering how much boost everyone is running with stock head bolts? I know a few have gone with the ARP studs.

The reason I ask is I recently had coolant leakage past my head gaskets (using head decompression plate). DO NOT reuse your head bolts after removing the head people!!!! LOL oops.gif

Anyways I have fresh gaskets and bolts now and I am scared to go over 10 psi. I have torqued the new bolts to Hyundai spec. I ran on 10 psi for like 2 years with the old reused bolts with no probs, but when I upped my boost to 11.5 psi a few weeks later I had the coolant leakage into the cylinders. Just would like to know how much I can push it, my AVC-R is waiting!! lol.gif

I think if you take them off you will mess up the way the were before and you should not be pushing over what you had 10PSI, but if you get a new ones they should hold a good bit of power if everything was reasemled properly. Tim is running 13.5 on his car with stock head and head bolts, he never took anything off.
