I did it my self. it wasn't too complicated. just very time consuming.

I read the forums and studied others pictures so that I knew exactly what I was doing before I started.

I was only asking because I've done work with turbochargers in the past, though mainly deisels. I've never installed a turbocharger into a car which has never had one.

If you've worked with turbos before, it really should be no problem. As someone else said, it really is just time consuming. If you can take off an intake manifold, drop a tranny, or something similar, you can install a basic setup.

^ I don't think you'd find the physical aspect of the install too difficult then.

I'm gonna start gathering parts to do my own install soon... It's gonna be pretty basic though. No internals... Just 5, maybe 7 psi off a T28 or even TD04L turbo.

The install will always be difficult, ie. trips to the hardware store, extra tools, etc. But ultimately if you do your research and prepare for the install, then you should run into minor isssues like the ones above.

Not having pipes line up, or the intercooler being too large, may really hamper your install, and maybe even halt it outright.
