In my case I only use the spacer. I tried the spacer plus 2 gaskets and CR went real low and before boost the vehicle had very little power. The spacer and one extra gasket is way to much according to my experience with the kit. I usually run at 10psi smoothly. I run 15psi for "special situations" without any problems. Franz's problem was a lean condition as boost went up,problems with 5th injector. From what I was told by Franz, he ran very lean as boost went up and generated stong detonations, I bet the blown specer was due to this situation.

Mario
Have you upgraded internally,or are they stock pistons and Rods.
Also what piggy back computer are you using with the Alpine kit.(S-AFC or Unichip)
Are you running the 5th injector set up?

My Tibby is a MAP engine but it will work OK with MAFS (ECU works with manifold absolute pressure instead of MAF which is the US system). The internals are stock. I am running 5th injector with a TFS (perfect power)additional injector management (not a piggy) which works with manifold pressure and rpm to control the 5th pulsing. I know Alpine is now using the UNICHIP and do not have experience with it but it basically do the same. The TFS you can also tune with a PC interface. The only mod which is required is the fuel pump since the stock pump will not supply enough flow at high pressure needed for smooth operation (+-85psi) and to support enough fuel for 15psi instead of 9psi.
